Bayberry Pop-Up Workshop with Adele Scott

Join us at the 204 Cultural Center in Harwich for an intensive and creative clothing workshop.

• Day One will be tracing and fitting the pattern to your size.  It will include a review of your selected quilt or quilt top fabric and how it can be laid out to accommodate a flattering and artistic style for your figure.
• Day Two will be the cutting out of the pieces for the external and internal design, and quilting your pieces if not already done.
• Day Three is construction of your jacket.

Pre-requisite purchase and work required:

1. Purchase the book from Adele: Sewing Quilted Patchwork Jackets – Landauer $23.00
2. Download the PDF pattern.  You can download one size, two sizes, or all of them.  
3. You need to either trace the pattern at Adele’s Studio on purchasable pattern tracing paper (3 yards) or have it done at Staples Copy Center (cost about $16).
4. Select a quilt to cut up or construct a quilt top that once cut will need to be quilted (in a day) and your internal fabric(s). Info provided for estimating fabric needs included below.

Consider using pre-quilted fabric, a bedspread quilt, a table runner plus matching fabrics, a quilt from a thrift store or purchase a quilt online.  You can make this sleeveless as a vest, for children or as a holiday themed jacket.

Class is $130 per Bayberry member.  Deadline for enrollment and payment is January 14.

After that date, if space is available, the class will open for non-Bayberry members (fee $150).

***If class cancelled due to weather, rescheduled dates would be February 20, 21 and 22.

***Workshop fees are nonrefundable except with 30 days notice OR if a replacement can be found OR  due to extenuating circumstance subject to review by the Guild President.
